did you know Ninjababy is adapted from the graphic novel Fallteknikkété by Norwegian animator, cartoonist and illustrator Inga Setre. The latter tells the story of 16-year-old Raquel, who accidentally becomes pregnant and has to take care of herself. The filmmaker explains:
“The focus is on the relationship between Raquel and her best friend. I started from there and in agreement with Inga, I looked at the age, ambitions and social status of the characters. I would never be able to. This movie without Inga.”
