Director James Cameron revealed in a recent interview that he ignored 20th Century Fox executives when they tried to edit a sequel to the studio’s 2009 “Avatar”.
In an interview with the New York Times, Cameron said he rejected the studio’s notes requesting that the film be shorter and that the flight sequences be cut from the film. That said, Cameron revealed that he told executives that he directed “Titanic” and paid for a large portion of the 20th Century Fox studio for it.
“I think I heard, in that moment, that we had a fight about some things,” Cameron said. “For example, the studio felt that the film should have been shorter and that there were a lot of flights into the ikran, what humans call banshee.
