The Marvel Cinematic Universe is in a transition time after years of service from the previous Avengers lineup. Now, with the expansion of this universe and the confirmation of two more Avengers movies, the question remains as to how things will go for the new lineup and beyond.
And when there are doubts in the MCU, theories begin to emerge. A recent one suggested by CBR.com, indicates the path of the Avengers Academy, which could emerge after the events of “Avengers: Secret Wars”, which closes the phase 6 not yet started of the MCU. There are a huge number of heroes and villains potentially linked to the future of Marvel, and the universe could be very different from what it is today at the end of Phase 6.
So the theory suggests that instead of being reactive, and only coming together when there is too much of a threat that any hero alone cannot control, they create the so-called Avengers Academy, a school for young heroes.
The Avengers Academy is not an invention of a theory, and exists in comics, created to train young people who might otherwise take the wrong path to become heroes. In addition to reducing the chances of youngsters with great powers or abilities becoming supervillains, the Avengers Academy could boost the growth of these youngsters.
In the comics, Hank Pym was responsible for training these young men, but the role could be taken on by any of the original Avengers remaining, such as Bruce Banner / Hulk or Clint Barton / Hawkeye.
In addition to overseeing the heroes, the theory indicates that the Academy may have active stakes on the Avengers and even missions for young heroes, who have already begun to emerge, to develop their powers and abilities.
Therefore, the theory suggests that Marvel could develop a movie or series with the Avengers Academy, to introduce the group and establish this new type of lineup. But, of course, this is just speculation and Kevin Feige may decide to take a completely different path.
For now, there are plans released until Phase 6 of the MCU, which would include 2 consecutive Avengers movies and the Fantastic Four movie. Also, Marvel Studios’ plans follow a mystery.
