On Tuesday, September 20, it all starts here…
Early in the morning, David arranged a meeting with Anais in the institute’s greenhouse. The young man apologizes for his behavior the previous day, but she assures him that she is not angry with him. Then, the young woman confides in him about the difficulties she faces during Chef Meyer’s module because it is too difficult for her to immerse herself in her memories. She admits that she has never spoken to anyone about Mateo since coming to school and buried the drama deep within her. Anais admits she is at her worst as the chef pushes her to the limit. David, in turn, advises her on her claim and suggests that she play “cap or not cap?”, a game they are very familiar with.
A little later, Salome discovers that Anais has prepared mashed carrots as an emblematic dish. The young woman is completely annoyed by her best friend’s abuse of Chef Meyer and her growing complicity with David.
Salome can’t help but be suspicious of David and ask questions about him. However, the young man does not know more, because Anais has always been cautious about his past. The young woman then explains to him that their friend is going to offer Chef Meyer mashed carrots and asks for his help in averting disaster.
Before Chef Meyer’s arrival, Salome and Enzo put their plan into action. The latter then calls Anais to tell her about her signature dish, while her friend swaps the plate of mashed potatoes for another creation. But after tasting Anais’ new proposal, Chef Meyer quickly realizes that she didn’t come up with it alone and plans to warn Rose as soon as possible.
Later, Anais is summoned by Rose and Chef Meyers. The young woman assures them that she made the iconic dish herself and admits that she lost her memory due to stress. He finally admits to them that the chef method isn’t for him, as he likes to create recipes in the present rather than thinking about the past. For his part, the chef isn’t surprised by his reaction because he knows his technique might upset some people. He is also confident that the young chef will be able to create the dish before the final tasting scheduled for tomorrow.
At the same time, Salome confronts David. The young woman tries to make him realize that Anais could have ruined his career by presenting a mashed carrot to Chef Meyer. He then points out that they are no longer students but leaders and that any mistake could ruin their careers forever. He then asks her to stay away from Anais if he really cares for her.
David realizes that he should never push Anais to do such a thing. However, the young woman insists that it is not her fault and was completely ready for this. She is also going to give up on Chef Meyer’s module because she doesn’t have the strength to keep it going. David then hands her something that might inspire her again: Mathieu’s cookbook, in which she wrote down all her ideas and recipes. He thinks he can reinterpret it to pass this module and assures him that he will be very proud of it.
At the end of the day, Salome finds Anais crying in the park. He immediately thinks that his condition is related to David, but the young woman assures him otherwise. Anais then hands Mathieu a notebook and reveals a secret: it is her brother’s notebook. Salome does not hide her surprise, because she did not know that she had a brother. Then the young chef tells him a very sad story. David and Mathieu were together in the CAP kitchen in La Rochelle and spent all their time together. However, one day when they went to the beach, all three drowned. He remained in a coma for several days. When he woke up, he learned about his brother’s death. And if he does not remember what happened, he knows that David pulled him out of the water. At that time, a young man tried to happen to her, but she did not want to know about it and decided to leave. He also admits to her that he has not seen his ex-girlfriend since this incident. Anais tells her that Chef Meyer’s mod makes her feel like she’s 16 again and she doesn’t know if she can handle it…
Samia, on the other hand, is confident that she will defeat Ethan in Chef Teissier’s next class. However, Billy thinks that his friend offered this bet to the elder Cardone’s son in hopes that something was going on between them, which he refuses to admit.
In Chef Taysier’s class, Samia fails to prepare and has to start all over again. Ethan, on the other hand, is convinced that he has already won their bet and is having fun. Axel then points out that his words are inappropriate because he knows full well what it means to defeat a young woman. However, Cardone’s son claims that he has no bad intentions because he knows very well that he is not going to keep his word.
It’s tasting time! Chef Teissier finds Ethan’s Bavarois a success, but after tasting Samia, he is very surprised. Indeed, the student added saffron to the cream, which he says makes all the difference. Thus, the young woman with her dessert comes first.
A little later, Samia offers Ethan a drink after class, but the young man refuses. He tells her that he doesn’t intend to stay second for long, which annoys the young woman, who believes that the other comrades can claim first place as well. However, he wants to remain first in all situations at any cost. The young man’s ambitions put a brake on their relationship.
Hortense is depressed after Mehdi leaves for Paris. A young woman fears that her boyfriend no longer loves her after an argument and is afraid of losing her. He’s about to send her a desperate text, but Elliott advises him to take his time. It is also sure that everything will calm down between them.
A little later, Vicki continues her investigation in the park with a mysterious notebook she found when she is interrupted by Greg and Elliott. His sister’s best friend has opened his eyes to her true intentions and hears her many warnings after all this time. He is also convinced that the young woman has finally had what she was hoping for and urges her to avoid them.
Vic contacted Octave Fuentes, a former student at the Institute who was part of the circle, to tell him about the notebook. However, he claimed to know nothing about her. The young woman is not discouraged and intends to continue her investigation by deciphering a series of strange figures. Bill, on the other hand, immediately thinks that these are geolocation coordinates, which turns out to be correct. Indeed, after verification, they strangely point to the director’s office. Billy then sarcastically tells her that a secret room must be hidden inside, but Vicky thinks the hypothesis is plausible.
Then, Vicky goes to the principal’s office in his absence. A young woman returns all the objects in the library, but finds nothing.
