Fairies of Destiny: The Winx Saga made an explosive return to Netflix with a second season that was darker than the first. In these new episodes, the young wizards had to fight against bloodthirsty wizards and power-hungry creatures.
Fortunately for them, Bloom and his friends were able to count on some significant support and the special arrival of Alfea: Flora, a character that fans have been waiting for a long time! Only Tecna remains, the last of the original Winx still missing.
Other iconic characters are also absent from the original Winx Club animated series. And some clues from Season 2 suggest that the shocking trio could be making it to a potential Season 3.
The Trixies are a trio of highly talented evil witches named Ice, Storm and Darcy who attended Cloud Tower, a school for witches. Hungry for power, they often attack the Winx and are their main enemies.
In Destiny: The Winx Saga, this trio is replaced by a single evil but no less terrifying fairy named Beatrix (Sadie Overall), a name that is a lovely nod to Trixie. The young woman was secretly raised by Andreas, Skye’s father, who remained dead.
But in Season 2, Beatrix searches for information about her past after Andreas’ death. Then he temporarily teams up with the evil bloodthirsty wizard Sebastian to get information about his sisters’ existence!
Unfortunately, Beatrix dies in Sebastian’s arms before he can search for them. However, we can count on Stella to find the information she needs: Beatrix’s sisters are Isobel and D’Arcy Daniels and they live in Diamond Hill.
But when Beatrix is dead, how can Trix be formed? If Beatrix comes back from the dead… and the evil entity we see appearing at her grave suggests that she could be resurrected by this demonic entity and form a trio with her sisters.
As of now, Netflix has not officially ordered a Season 3 for Destiny: The Winx Saga, but it would be surprising if the series didn’t have a new burst of episodes, especially after the season-ending cliffhanger. And it will be a chance to finally see the Trix live.
