Ivory Aquino, who was supposed to play Alicia Yeoh in the canceled Batgirl movie, shared a video on social media where we see the superhero in action.
Almost no images remain of Batgirl, the movie that Warner canceled in August — except for a shot of her in costume and a head-on photo of superhero (Leslie Grace) Batman (played by Michael Keaton). Therefore, it is impossible to know what the feature film directed by Adil El Arbi and Bilal Falla would be like.
But it was without actress Ivory Aquino, who took to Twitter to share a video of the shoot where we can see Barbara Gordon in action.
Aquino was to play Alysia Yeoh, the vigilante’s best friend. In this short video, it’s stuntwoman Emelie Cartagena, who slips into a black superhero costume and – apparently – crashes a Christmas party.
Unfortunately, we won’t get a chance to see the final result with special effects to judge the quality of the scene, but for now netizens don’t seem enthusiastic in the comments under the Twitter post.
Fans were still happy to draw the Batgirl trailer from Keaton’s Batman movies and Brendan Fraser’s filmography – while calling for the actress to play Barbara Gordon. We will let you know the result below:
