Indiana Jones 5 has the same ‘feel’ as the original film; says Mads Mikkelsen

Mads Mikkelsen participates in Indiana Jones 5 – and guarantees that the film is inspired by the first two features of the franchise

Scheduled for release in 2023, Indiana Jones 5 will have Mads Mikkelsen in the cast — and, according to the actor, the film will have the same feeling as the original feature film in the franchise, Indiana Jones and Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981).

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Mikkelsen reveals that the fifth film in the franchise — which is directed by James Mangold — is inspired a lot by what was seen in the first and second feature of the saga of Steven Spielberg.

“[Os Caçadores da Arca Perdida] it was one of my favorite movies, and it bled through that golden period of the 1940s serials — and that’s also in the fifth movie. They’re leaning heavily on the first and second movies, and getting that original feel, the original Indy, something dense and epic.” Mikkelsen.
