Actor Glen Powell (“Top Gun: Maverick”) will star in the thriller “Hitman”, directed by director Richard Linklater (“Boyhood”).
Based on a true story, the film will tell the story of a police officer who disguised himself as a hitman to arrest people who have hired his services.
In addition to acting, Powell also wrote the script alongside Linklater. The cast also includes Adria Arjona (“Team 6”) and Anthony Michael Frederick (“Five Days at Memorial Hospital”).
Filming on “Hitman” will begin in October in New Orleans, but there is no premiere date yet.
Richard Linklater is currently working on the musical “Merrily We Roll Along”, starring Beanie Feldstein (“Outlaw”) and Ben Platt (“Dear Evan Hansen”), which has no premiere date.
Glen Powell is also involved in a series inspired by the classic “Butch Cassidy” (1969).
