Halloween is already here. Netflix has just opened hostilities and released the trailer for The Midnight Club, its next horror series in collaboration with Mike Flanagan. The director once again plays on our fears and takes us to the heart of the hospital, which is intended for adults with serious pathologies. The latter meet every night at midnight to share scary stories… and very real ones.
After The Haunting of Hill House and Bly Manor in Midnight Sermons, Flanagan changes the atmosphere – even if the action once again takes place indoors. The cast is younger and the pictures are noticeably less scary, even if they don’t show everything.
Anyone who has read the book written by Christopher Pike, from which the series is adapted, knows what I am talking about. As for the rest of you, you’ll have to wait for its release on October 7th to immerse yourself in the living nightmares of these new characters.
