Emmy winner for Best Miniseries / Anthology, “White Lotus” has had its second season date revealed on the HBO Max social networks. The new episodes, featuring different characters and locations, will debut on October 30th.
In its second season, “The White Lotus” will introduce a new group of guests to a different unit of the fictional hotel chain The White Lotus. Instead of showing the rich staying in a luxury resort in Hawaii, the storyline will follow American tourists on vacation in Italy.
Originally conceived as a miniseries, the attraction was highly praised by critics and became a smash hit on HBO Max. Faced with the repercussion, the platform chose to turn it into an annual series, serving as an anthology with new characters each season.
The cast will bring back Jennifer Coolidge, who also won an Emmy for the role of Tanya McQuoid. Now he will be on vacation in Sicily, where he will meet new characters played by Aubrey Plaza (“Legion”), Michael Imperioli (“The Sopranos”), F. Murray Abraham (“Patria”), Tom Hollander (“Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation “), Theo James (” The Time Traveler’s Wife “), Haley Lu Richardson (” Five Feet Apart “), Will Sharpe (” Giri / Haji “), Adam DiMarco (” The Order “), Meghann Fahy (” The Bold Type “) and Leo Woodall (” Cherry “), among others.
Production remains in the hands of creator Mike White (“School of Rock”), who added two more Emmys for Best Screenplay and Direction to the attraction.
