This is one of the most anticipated series of the fall: the fifth season of The Crown. Netflix’s special event, TUDUM, revealed the first images and release date: November 9th. In the very short trailer, viewers see the faces of the new Diana and Charles, played by Elizabeth Debic and Dominic West.
The very dark teaser shows them preparing for a TV interview. In this fifth season, the drama about the relationship between Diana and King Charles III will be at the center of the story. The final episode should feature the death of the Princess of Hearts in Paris.
In front of these pictures, it is impossible not to think about Queen Elizabeth II, who died on September 8 at the age of 96. It’s a safe bet that the Netflix platform has chosen not to show images of the Queen to honor her recent disappearance. In this new chapter, actress Imelda Staunton – Dolores Umbridge of the Harry Potter franchise – will reprise the role previously played by Claire Foy and Olivia Colman.
