October 19: Notre Dame, part of the fire
After the Jean-Jacques Anne Cathedral fire, another project depicting a cathedral fire is coming to Netflix in 2019. Notre-Dame, la Part du feu is a six-episode miniseries created by Olivier Boquet and Hervé Hadmar and adapted from the book. Night of Notre Dame Written by Paris Fire Brigade and Romain Gubert.
The series follows the drama, but also the fate of the characters who are directly or indirectly connected to the fire. The cast of the series includes Roshdi Zem, Caroline Proust, Megan Northam, Simon Abkarian, Alisa Isaazi, Marie Zabukovec, Sandor Funtek, Kasem Al Khoja, Corentin Fila, Ambroise Sabag, Frederic Chau and Victor Belmondo.
October 7: Midnight Club
After The Haunting of Hill House, The Haunting of Bly Manor and Midnight Sermons, new master of horror Mike Flanagan returns with a fascinating new series: The Midnight Club, based on the book of the same name by Christopher Pike.
The decor and atmosphere have changed for this new series. Midnight Club takes us to a hospital for adults with serious pathologies. And the sick meet every night at midnight to share scary stories.
October 13: The Watcher
Ryan Murphy (American Horror Story, Glee, Nip/Tuck) is back in top form on the horror side! Dahmer: After Monster – The Story of Jeffrey Dahmer, his new work, The Watcher, should be your new obsession.
This series tells the story of a hell where a married couple lived who were thinking of moving into their dream house. But when they receive terrifying threatening emails from a stalker who has registered as a “watcher”, their lives turn into a nightmare.
In the casting of this series inspired by real events, we meet actress Naomi WattsBobby Cannavelle, Jennifer Coolidge, Joe Mantello, Margot Martindale, Terry Keane and Mia Farrow, returning to our screens after a years absence.
October 25: Guillermo del Toro’s Cabinet of Curiosities
Guillermo del Toro presents a selection of evil stories, each scarier than the last, in its horror anthology Cabinet of curiosities : 8 spooky stories, from the macabre to the magical and from the gothic to the grotesque.
The acclaimed and Oscar-winning director has rounded himself up well for this project, both in writing and directing, with the talent he’s chosen like e.g. Vincenzo Natali (Cube), Jennifer Kent (The Babadook), David Prior (Empty Man), Anna Lily Amirpour (Girl Walks Home Alone at Night), Catherine Hardwicke (Twilight), Panos Kosmatos (Mandy) or even David S. Goyer (Dark Knight).
There are also beautiful people on the casting side, including Andrew Lincoln (The Walking Dead), Rupert Grint (Harry Potter Saga), F. Murray Abraham (Mythical Quest), Crispin Glover (Back to the Future), Ben Barnes (Shadow and Bones), Essie Davis (Miss Fisher), Eric Andre (Disenchanted), as well as France’s Sofia Boutella (Kingsman).
