Nicolas Cage spoke to AlloCiné about his new feature film, the action comedy Un Talent en Or Massif, which was released in theaters this Wednesday.
Nicolas Cage has already returned to cinemas after the drama Pig was released last year. In the action-comedy A Talent in Solid Gold, which came out this Wednesday, he plays his alternate version starring Pedro Pascal (from the Mandalor Star Wars), Tiffany Headish, Neil Patrick Harris and Sharon Horgan.
Solid Gold Talent tells the story of Nick Cage, an actor full of debt, who is waiting for a big role that will strengthen his career. To pay off some debts, his agent offers him to go to the birthday of a dangerous billionaire who turns out to be his biggest fan. But staying the other way around happens when the CIA contacts him and asks him to investigate his host’s criminal activities. Nicolas Cage will have to play a part of his life and prove that he justifies his own legend.
Cage is no stranger to comedy, as he has been confronted several times in the past, from Arizona Jr., Amos and Andrew, to Descendant Paradise, or more recently, to One Army, adapted from an astonishingly true story.
Cage is currently filming Renfield, in which he will play Dracula alongside Ben Schwartz, Avkwafina and Nicolas Hoult.
