The End of Halloween: What’s Banned in the Last Movie of the Horror Saga?

The final film in John Carpenter’s 1978 horror saga, The End of Halloween, hits our theaters this Wednesday. At what age should you watch the grand final?

The fierce battle that began in 1978 between Laurie Strode and Meyer Myers ends this Wednesday.

5 years after the reboot of John Carpenter’s horror saga, director David Gordon Green offers a truly grand finale to the most famous scream girl, Jamie Lee Curtis.

at the end of Halloween, Laurie lives with her granddaughter Alison (Andy Matichak), and Michael Myers is no longer dating. After decades of letting the killer’s shadow hang over her, Lori finally decides to let go of her fear and rage and face life.

But when a young man, Cory Cunningham (Rohan Campbell), is accused of murdering the boy she babysat, Lori must confront the evil forces that elude her one last time in an onslaught of violence and terror…

With its bloody opening scene and multiple murders, the Jason Blum-produced feature film is banned for children under 12 with a warning. Which means the film has “many difficult, even violent or harsh scenes that may affect young children”. Which already happened in the previous opus Halloween Kills.

Halloween, on the other hand, was only off-limits to people under 12 without warning.

Thus, the bloodiest film in the franchise remains the reboot of Rob Zombie, which was released in 2007 (and without Jamie Lee Curtis) and is prohibited for children under 16.

Led by Jamie Lee Curtis, Andy Matichak, Rohan Campbell, Will Patton, Kyle Richards and James Jude Courtney, Halloween Ends hits our darkrooms this Wednesday.
