Midnight Club marks a new collaboration for Mike Flanagan and Netflix following The Haunting of Hill House, Bly Manor and Midnight Sermons. If the latter were presented as a mini-series, it is not so in the case of the youngest. A choice that the showrunner explained in front of an audience of journalists A few days ago:
“Midnight Club was conceived as a long format. I don’t know if it will happen. We’ll see how things play out, but we’ll have to wait at least a month before we know what Netflix plans to do. But yes, the goal is to continue. Christopher Pike has published 80 books, so we have a lot of catching up to do. But first of all, we didn’t answer the most important questions of Season 1. The answers are there, but we’re going to save them for the future. If the series is not renewed, I will tweet it. So we can all talk about it together.”
