Trailer for Annie Kohler: Lor Kalam in a powerful film about abortion

The trailer for Blandine Lenoir’s Annie Colère starring Laure Calami and Zita Hanrot has just been released. A moving film about women’s struggle for abortion law in 1975. In theaters on November 30.

The film takes place in February 1974. Laure Kalam plays Annie, a working mother of two who accidentally finds herself pregnant. The latter meets MLAC – the Movement for Abortion and Contraception Freedom, which has illegal abortions in plain sight.
Welcoming this unique movement based on women’s concrete help and sharing of knowledge, she found a new meaning in her life in the fight to pass the Veil Abortion Act (signed on January 17, 1975).

This more topical film also stars Zita Hanrot, India Hair, Yannick Choirat and Damien Chapelle.

Presented at the recent Angoulême Francophone Film Festival, Annie Anger will be released in cinemas on November 30, 2022.
