Warning, this article spoils the ending of She-Hulk.
In the final episode of She-Hulk, the heroine leaves her world to join ours to report to Marvel. He then confronts KEVIN, the AI who runs the (fake) House of Ideas, and asks him to remove the fight scene between him and Todd and remove the appearance of his cousin Bruce Banner from the script. He came and extended his hand.
But according to director Kat CoiroThe writers wanted to go even further by introducing another Bruce Banner, camped not by Mark Ruffalo, but by Edward Norton. The same one who played the green giant in The Incredible Hulk in 2008. Despicable / With the return of Emil Blonsky (Tim Roth), the circle would close.
“We were talking about how the last time Hulk and The Abomination came face to face, the former was played by a different actor. And Mark Ruffalo made a few jokes around that, so we came up with the idea of replacing him with Norton. But we finally abandoned this idea“.
This cameo from Norton would have given this meta-finale episode an extra boost, which probably wouldn’t have disappointed fans. But anything is possible in the MCU, especially since Spider-Man: No Way Home, which allowed the return of two previous incarnations of Spider-Man. That’s why we strongly expect a Hulk movie where everyone meets.
She-Hulk is available on Disney+.
