“Black Adam”: when will the film be available in streaming?

DC Comics fans can finally follow the story of the character Black Adam, in the latest film released by the publisher. The film is distributed by Warner Bros. and features actor Dwayne Johnson, aka The Rock, as the main character of the plot.

“Black Adam” will be released in theaters in the US this Friday (21) – in Brazil, the film was released yesterday (20). However, many people will wait to stream the movie and wonder when it will be available after it airs on the big screen.

Warner Bros. film can be seen on the HBO Max platform. Last year, the distributor decided to premiere its productions in streaming and in theaters simultaneously. However, the strategy was sidelined by the company, which began plying the so-called “Popcorn Project”, a 45-day theatrical window between press releases, as happened with “Batman”, for example.

On the other hand, even the practical 45-day window is no longer used by Warner, especially after the company’s definitive merger with Discovery and the reformulations proposed by David Zaslav, CEO of Warner Bros. Discovery. The new lineup was already possible to observe with the movie “Elvis”, which took 71 days to reach HBO Max.

In this sense, the analysis surrounding movie additions to HBO Max predicts that they will be made available “on a case-by-case basis”. With that, the arrival of “Black Adam” on the streaming platform will hinge on financial success at the box office, but if you look at Warner’s latest action, the DC feature is likely to arrive on the service between December 2022 and January 2023.
