Brendan Fraser is surprising his co-stars with his positive attitude and friendliness
Brendan Fraser is definitely back. After his great role in ‘Doom Patrol‘, the series about the group of DC anti-heroes that airs HBO Max, Fraser will be the villain of ‘batgirl‘, the protagonist of ‘Whale’ by Darren Aronofsky and will participate in the next film of Martin Scorsese, ‘Killers of the Flower Moon’.
The star of the 90s had been somewhat forgotten after hits like the trilogy of ‘The Mummy’ or ‘George of the Jungle’, but we celebrate his return. And it seems that her ‘Batgirl’ co-stars celebrate her even more.
The protagonist of the new film of the Batman universe, Leslie Gracehas stated how delightful it is to work alongside Fraser on set. Although Fraser will play Firefly, the film’s villain, Grace says “he’s incredibly likeable, he’s the joy of the set.”
“It was an incredible learning experience being on set with action veterans like Brendan Fraser and soaking it all up. It was really hard because he’s our villain and I’m not supposed to like him, but he’s a huge teddy bear. He is one of the nicest people I have ever met.. In our fight sequences, the way he hit the marks came from all of his experience. You can’t improvise that kind of experience. There are some crazy things that just happen. There’s a lot of fire because, as everyone knows, he plays Firefly. There is crazy fire. There’s crazy stunts, crazy falls… She’s a biker girl, so you’ll see her do a lot of bad things.”
It is not strange to hear these things about the good Brendan, since precisely his status as a “bread chub” has been one of the reasons why fans have been asking for his return to stardom. It will be very interesting to see him as the villain of the show facing Leslie Grace’s Batgirl, the Batman of Michael Keaton and Commissioner Gordon of J K Simmons.
