The Shining: Iconic ax from the movie goes up for auction for BRL 470,000

A horror classic, The Shining features an iconic scene in which Jack wields an ax – and the item goes up for auction

horror classic from Stanley Kurbick, The illuminated (1980) features an iconic scene in which Jack Torrance (Jack Nicholson) uses an axe. Interestingly, the item will go up for auction for US$100,000, almost R$470,000 at the current price.

The auction will start on Wednesday, April 20, via the website Gotta Have Rock and Rollaccording to TMZ The ax will be sold in a glass case – which comes with some photos with scenes from the feature film.

The item is in excellent condition and will be delivered with a certificate of authenticity from the NORANK Engineering, company that usually works with several Hollywood studios.
