The long-awaited “Avatar: The Way to Water” has received a new trailer, released by 20th Century Studios this Wednesday (2), with fantastic new footage from director James Cameron’s film.
The sequel to the sci-fi hit “Avatar,” the highest-grossing film of all time globally that won three Oscars after its release in 2009, will hit theaters in December. The new trailer was released on the American television show “Good Morning America”, where it was also revealed that “Avatar 2” will run for 3 hours and 10 minutes.
The new images take us back to Pandora, the planet featured in the first film, where an exciting and action-packed new adventure will take place. In the trailer, we can see new marine creatures, the Na’vi – the people who inhabit Pandora – exploring the seabed, land and air, and a new threat presents itself.

“Avatar: Water Way” takes place a decade after the events of the first film and will focus on the Sully family, which includes Jake (Sam Worthington), Neytiri (Zoë Saldaña) and their children, who will be featured in this sequel.
Directed by James Cameron and produced by Cameron and Jon Landau, the Lightstorm Entertainment Productions production stars Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldaña, Sigourney Weaver, Stephen Lang and Kate Winslet.
The screenplay is written by James Cameron, Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver; and the story was born from an idea of James Cameron, Rick Jaffa, Amanda Silver, Josh Friedman and Shane Salerno. David Valdes and Richard Baneham are executive producers on the film.
“Avatar: Water Way” will be released in theaters on December 15th.
