On December 1, 2022, the psychological thriller-detective Frozen will premiere on Ivy and Okko – this is the serial debut of film director Adilkhan Yerzhanov. According to the plot, the police find the icy corpse of a naked woman on the outskirts of the northern town – this is the wife of the senior investigator Evgeny (Artem Bystrov). Having fallen into a rage and not caring about the legality of the methods, the hero begins a real hunt for the killer. The partner in love with him is trying to suppress the thirst for revenge in the hero, but he does not accept help. As a result, the murders in the town continue, Evgeny is suspended from service, his adopted teenage son turns away from him after the death of his mother, and the only person who sympathizes with the hero is the mortuary worker Mitya (Vladimir Kanukhin), suffering from hallucinations. A terrible incident that happened in the past also plunges Mitya into the abyss of self-destruction. Together, the heroes explore the dark sides of their personalities in order to finally understand what the choice of revenge, and not life, leads to…

For me, “Frozen” is a very important and bright project in which everything came together – history, characters, images, rhythm, – says director Adilkhan Yerzhanov. – It has both my personal and spectator beginnings. This is not just a story of revenge, it is a story of the destruction of the individual and the rebirth of man.
I really wanted to work with Adilkhan Yerzhanov, and to be honest, it was a pleasure, – said Lena Tronina. – Relaxed atmosphere, with a lot of creativity, notions. Real creativity. I am grateful to my partners for their support, for the warm time together. My heroine is a fighter for the truth. The project was produced by Alexander Tsekalo, Ivan Samokhvalov, Oleg Tumanov, Vadim Sokolovsky, Ilya Burets, Vasily Balashov. Alexander Matveev and Max Ivanov worked on the script, who also acted as a creative producer of the project.
The first episode was shown at the Pilot festival in the summer of 2022, and the Frozen series immediately entered the lists of the most anticipated projects among festival guests and journalists.
