Kristen Stewart has begun work on her feature-length directorial debut, The Chronology Of Water. The main role in the film will be played by Briton Imogen Poots (“Mud”, “Father”). Writes about it Deadline.
“Chronology” is a film adaptation of the 2011 memoir of the same name by the writer Lydia Yuknavich. They tell about childhood abuse, Lydia’s attempts to become a swimmer in the US Olympic team, drug addiction, the death of her daughter and other tragic events. Despite this, the woman managed to build a career in literature and find a family.
For the first time, the idea to transfer the “Chronology of Water” to the screen became known in 2017. At the same time, Stewart released her first short film “Come Swim”, which was shown in Cannes. She will also adapt the screenplay for Timeline with Andy Mingo and produce the film by Ridley Scott and Scott Free Productions.
Earlier this year, Stewart received her first Oscar nomination for the biopic Spencer in the Best Actress category and starred in the body horror film Crimes of the Future by David Cronenberg.
