In reports in the TB community and Samsung members, users have complained that they haven’t been updated for months
The Galaxy A52s smartphone, launched in 2021, has finally received the monthly security update, which hasn’t happened since July. During that time, users complained about the service situation Samsung Members and also in the tuberculosis community. The update brings the September patches🇧🇷
Samsung promises support from at least three years on this cell phone🇧🇷 Therefore, the Galaxy A52s will receive updates until 2024. An Android 13-based UI 5 will arrive for the smartphone at the end of this month and should carry the October security patch.
Security Update: Better sooner than later
It is repetitive to say that we use the cell phone for everything. However, it should be remembered that this habit of use causes thousands of sensitive data about our lives to be found on the device. Therefore, it is essential to receive (and install) smartphone security updates🇧🇷 In this way the user has his mobile phone protected and, in theory, free from vulnerability.
To the Samsung Members, a South Korean app that serves as a “forum” for users of the company’s devices, users were complaining about not getting the latest security update. Similar reports have been circulating in the tuberculosis community. The delay was so big (in October, users still had the July patch) which raised the question: has device support been dropped?
Now the question can be answered. No, support has not been dropped. Since yesterday (17th), users started getting the latest security update, in this case the September patches🇧🇷 Even though it’s November, there’s a reason Samsung hasn’t released the October update yet.

The Galaxy A53 also lagged
Another model that was delayed in its security patch was the Galaxy A53released in 2022, it will receive updates until 2025. The situation has also raised the question of whether support for the model has been discontinued.
As well as the Galaxy A52, the smartphone was since July without the monthly update. However, the update was pushed to users in October.
This month, the South Korean should push One UI 5 update for Galaxy A52s and A53, including the current security patch for your clients. This information has not yet been confirmed and is based on updates from other countries. It’s worth mentioning that updates for Brazil usually don’t take long after being applied in other countries.
We’ve reached out to Samsung for more information on the One UI 5 update for these models. Until the publication of this news, we have not received a response. We will update this story if the company responds.
After 4 months, Samsung Galaxy A52s receives the security update
