The dollar fell against the real on Friday, reversing the advance recorded the day before after the attempts of the elected government to reassure the markets on the risk of lack of fiscal control in the management of Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, while the possibility of the PEC of the Congressional cancellation of the Transition provided further relief for investors.
The sighting US currency fell 0.58%, to 5.3750 reais on sale, but closed well above the day’s lows, having previously hit 1.45%, at 5.3280 reais .
For the week, its second consecutive gain, the dollar advanced 0.85%.
