After Idris Elba turned down the role of agent 007, which Daniel Craig successfully embodied in the last five Bond films, the search for a new secret intelligence agent did not stop for a minute. The movie bosses have looked at hundreds of actors and it looks like they’ve finally made up their minds. According to The Sun, the cast leader was a 32-year-old British actor, lGolden Globe Award Winner Aaron Taylor-Johnson. According to insiders cited by the publication, while auditioning at Pinewood Studios, where many of the films in the franchise were filmed, Aaron immediately impressed producer Barbara Broccoli.
When Aaron showed up to audition for the next Bond in September, the producers and Barbara immediately fell in love with him. Now he is one of the leaders, informants say.
Taylor-Johnson really knows how to charm. The actor has a bright appearance, blue eyes and three dozen films in his biography. He played Charlie Chaplin in “Shanghai Knights”, was Vronsky in “Anna Karenina”, reincarnated as John Lennon in the biopic “Becoming John Lennon” and was noted in the Marvel Cinematic Universe – in the role of a character nicknamed “Quicksilver”.
Aaron’s personal life is also in order. Taylor-Johnson has been happily married for 10 years to the director of “50 Shades of Grey” Sam, with whom he has a difference of 23 years – the wife of the actor is 55 years old. Together they raise two common daughters – 12-year-old Vilda Ray and 10-year-old Romi Hiro, as well as two children of Sam’s children from gallery owner Jay Joplin – 25-year-old Angelica and 16-year-old Jessie.
