Nicolas Cage not only offers the opportunity to see Nicolas Cage, which is very similar to the internet view of him, but he also plays the opposite!

Sometimes in the film, his character, Nick Cage, is visited by “Nick”, his young version, with long hair falling in his eyes, wearing entirely leather clothes. He is the voice of his youth, of ambition, but also of excess. But how were the scenes filmed between Nick Cage and Nick?

In fact, the body of this fake Nicolas Cage is delivered by actor-stuntman Nick Whitman, then the rejuvenated face of Nicolas Cage is strengthened with special effects (led by CoSA VFX). The aesthetic inspiration and temperament of this rejuvenated version is clearly derived from this surreal interview by Nicolas Cage, published in 1990, to popularize Sailor and Lula:

Nicolas Cage himself christened him this young alter-ego, who in the original script was called Nicolas Kim Coppola and should look more like his character in Cameron Poe in The Wings of Hell.

The film pushes the surreal side of the subject by offering a kiss between Nicolas Cage and his double Nick. An improvised moment on the set, as Tom Gormicken told him QG :

“It was Nick who came up with the idea. He just had to kiss her on the cheek and say, ‘Oh, I’m glad I did.'”
