Adapted from the investigative book of the same name by journalist Justin Fenton, 6 episodes focus on the Gun Trace Task Force: a working group set up to prevent violent criminals from the streets of Baltimore to revive murders in the city. .

But gradually, this unit begins to function as a full-fledged criminal organization, with agents stealing money from people they suspect, conducting illegal searches, preparing evidence, and extorting money from traffickers.
