If you’ve already watched “Slumberland” on Netflix all the way to the end, you won’t be surprised to know that the stuffed pig named just Pig has a sweet true story and is closely related to Jason Momoa.
In the film, little Nemo (Marlowe Barclay) meets the eccentric Flip (Jason Momoa), who takes her on an adventure in the fantasy world of Dreamland in search of the girl’s missing father.
Nemo sleeps with Pig, a stuffed animal with button eyes and a heart patch sewn onto his back. However, when Flip and Nemo’s adventure begins, Pig comes to life and joins them.
The character, being a stuffed animal and having a loyal and innocent personality, became an audience favorite upon the film’s premiere. even Jason Momoa himself, who brought that love out on camera.

‘Slumberland’: Jason Momoa Adopts Pig for Character in Netflix Movie
The 43-year-old actor and star of “Dune” and “Frontier” adopted the pig after seeing it on the set of the movie “Slumberland” and thinking of two Hawaiian dish names to name it: Lau Lau and Manapua.
On his Instagram on November 6, 2022, Momoa wrote that this is the reason he couldn’t work with animals, because he will always want to take them home with him. He also seems to have chosen Manapua as his name.
Jason in the video tells his mom about the idea of taking him to the premiere of the Netflix movie, although in the end they didn’t allow it and instead he arrived with a stuffed animal of the character Pig.
