Paramount+ has released the poster and subtitled trailer for “Teen Wolf: The Movie,” which makes some major revelations about the production that will reunite the characters in the werewolf franchise. The preview shows that Derek (Tyler Hoechlin) has become a father and that Alisson (Crystal Reed) is not only alive but has returned to relentlessly hunt werewolves – for those who don’t remember, the character died eight years ago at the end of the original attraction’s third season. .
Plus, an old threat has returned for a final showdown, which sees all former allies reunite for one last adventure.
No longer a teenager, Scott McCall (Tyler Posey) was so traumatized by the events of the series, which ended after six years in 2017, that he left Beacon Hills. Living in Los Angeles, he tries to have a normal life when he is called to the small town by night visions. And he’s forced to take his place as alpha wolf to defend his friends from attack.
The preview indicates that there are many elements to the story. Not surprisingly, the screenwriter of the film and creator of “Teen Wolf”, Jeff Davis, has defined the production, which has a total of 20 characters, “a short seventh season”.
The 20 characters mentioned by the creator of the franchise are played by Tyler Posey (today voice actor of “Fast & Furious: Asphalt Spies”), Crystal Reed (who, after dying in the series, ended up in “Gotham” and “Swamp Thing” ) , Tyler Hoechlin (“Superman and Lois”), Holland Roden (“Mayans MCs”), Colton Haynes (“Arrow”), Shelley Hennig (“Dollface”), JR Bourne (“The 100”), Dylan Sprayberry (“The 100”), Dylan Sprayberry (“Light as a Feather”), Ian Bohen (“Yellowstone”), Seth Gilliam (“The Walking Dead”), Orny Adams (“What Are You Laughing At?”), Melissa Ponzio (“Chicago Fire”), Ryan Kelley (” Land of the Brave”), Linden Ashby (“Gatunas”) and Khylin Rhambo (“Deep Fear: The Second Strike”), plus newcomers like Vince Mattis (“Halloween”) and Amy Workman (“Vikes”), among others.
Directed by Russell Mulcahy, who directed several episodes of the series (as well as the classic “Highlander”), the film is released on January 26th.
