New Year’s Eve: what the most popular parties offer and how much they cost

The complete package at the Copacabana Palace for two people can reach R$ 37,920

The first New Year’s Eve with the covid-19 pandemic relatively under control, the expectations of the public and the organizers of the New Year’s Eve party are high. As usual, many people have already started planning (and paying for) their paradise resort party package months in advance of the date. Organized by Carvalheira, from Pernambuco, the Amoré New Year’s Eve – at the Balneário de Porto de Galinhas – has already sold out at some parties. Amoré has five-day packages that include both day and night events and start at R$3,500. In the evening, the parties include an open bar service and New Year’s Eve is all inclusive.

“We know that customers will enjoy every moment of the destination, which is why we have doubled the number of meetings on New Year’s Eve,” says Rafael Lobo, one of Carvalheira’s partners. Shows with big names such as Ludmilla, Pedro Sampaio and Silva are among the attractions on the program.

On Réveillon Arcanjos 2023 – which has Antonio Oliva as one of the partners – there will be five days of night parties in Barra de São Miguel, in Alagoas, with artists such as Banda Eva, Matuê and Goldfish. The audience is expected to reach 1500 people between 20 and 30 years old, mainly from SP, Curitiba, RJ, Brasilia, Goiás and Belo Horizonte. Passport with daily entry costs BRL 4,800 for men and BRL 3,800 for women. “This year we have a more eclectic lineup with optimistic artists and sponsors due to the new world scenario,” says Mário Sérgio, one of the partners.

The traditional New Year’s Eve at the Copacabana Palace, in Rio, has as its attraction, in addition to the privileged view of the fireworks on Copacabana beach, an exclusive dinner in one of its restaurants. Curated by chef Nello Cassese, culinary director of all Belmond properties in South America, as well as chef of Cipriani, the menu will be divided into eight phases which will include dishes with oysters, Wagyu filet and foie gras. For those who want to take advantage of the opportunity to have a complete experience in the hotel, a package for two people with four nights’ accommodation is available, which includes breakfast and an invitation per guest to the New Year’s party (dinner included) from R $ $37,920. About 1,100 people are expected at the hotel for New Year’s Eve, distributed among the restaurants, lounges and swimming pool. The percentage of foreigners in this audience is 30%.
