Hideo Kojima has confirmed that Death Stranding 2 is real and will feature the return of Norman Reedus; the director talked about the trailer and the impact of the pandemic on the game
Towards the second hour of The Game Awards 2022 this Thursday (08), the Microsoft Theater was invaded by the mystery of Kojima Productions. It was the announcement of Death Stranding 2sequel to the 2019 title conceived and directed by the legendary Hideo Kojimano release date yet.

The trailer marks the return not only of the game, but also of Norman Reedus, Léa Seydoux and Troy Baker in the universe created by Kojima. Joining them in the cast are Elle Fanning and Shioli Kutsuna.

Scattering mysterious crumbs, the trailer assembles a narrative about the game’s universe, which led Kojima to joke onstage at The Game Awards: “You just saw the trailer and I put in a lot of details. I want you to speak up and find these details.”
With Death Stranding 2, you can see the history affected by covid-19. Kojima said he wrote the game’s script before the pandemic, but after everything that happened, he had to redo everything. On a busy evening, he joked again: “I didn’t want to predict the future again, I rewrote the script.”
Death Stranding 2 it has no confirmed platforms yet, nor a date set for the premiere.
