Ingredients:

  • 2 cups sugar (tea)
  • 5 stale French loaves
  • 1 liter of milk
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 can of condensed milk
  • 2 tablespoons of butter
  • 1/2 cup raisins (seedless)

Method of preparation:

  1. Pour half the sugar into a 24 cm diameter mold with a hole in the center and cook over low heat, without stirring, until caramelised.
  2. Peel French rolls, grate and soak in milk for 10 minutes.
  3. In the blender, beat the bread with the milk, the condensed milk, the eggs, the rest of the sugar and the butter.
  4. Pour into the caramelized pan, holding with a cloth to avoid burning your hands.
  5. Sprinkle with the raisins and bake in a preheated high oven in a double boiler for 1 hour 20 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Leave to cool, refrigerate for 2 hours, unmold and serve.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup raisins (seedless)
  • 1/2 cup (tea) of rum
  • 2 cups wheat flour (tea)
  • 1 tablespoon of baking powder
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup (tea) of brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon of cinnamon
  • Margarine and wheat flour for greasing
  • 1/2 cup (tea) of oil

Method of preparation:

  1. Soak the raisins in the rum for 30 minutes.
  2. In a bowl put the flour, baking powder, raisins and mix well.
  3. In blender, beat remaining ingredients and mix with ingredients in bowl.
  4. Put into a buttered and floured mold of 30cm x 22cm.
  5. Bake in a preheated medium oven for 30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Remove from the oven, leave to rest for 5 minutes, unmold and serve with whipped cream as desired.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup (tea) of brown sugar
  • 200 g of butter at room temperature
  • 1 cup of honey (tea)
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 1/2 cups (tea) wheat flour
  • 1 teaspoon(s) ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 300 g of raisins
  • 1 heaping tablespoon baking powder

Roof

  • 1 cup (tea) of sugar
  • 2 tablespoons of milk
  • 1 tablespoon of butter or margarine
  • 2 tablespoons of chocolate powder
  • Margarine and wheat flour for greasing

Method of preparation:

  1. In the planetary mixer, beat the sugar, honey, butter and eggs for 5 minutes.
  2. Gradually add the flour, beating until smooth.
  3. Add the spices, raisins and baking powder and mix gently with a spoon.
  4. Pour into a greased and floured 40×28cm pan and bake in a preheated medium oven for 50 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Let cool.
  5. For the topping, in a saucepan, combine the sugar, milk, butter and chocolate and bring to a boil over medium heat.
  6. Cook for 2 minutes and spread over the still warm cake.
  7. Leave to dry, cut into squares and serve immediately.

Curd raisin cake

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup (tea) of sugar
  • 1 cup of curd (tea)
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup raisins (seedless)
  • 1/4 teaspoon(s) of nutmeg
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
  • 1/2 simple pasta recipe

  • 2 cups wheat flour (sifted)
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2/3 cup (tea) vegetable shortening
  • 4-6 tablespoons of ice water
  • Wheat flour for dusting the surface

Method of preparation:

  1. For the dough, in a bowl, sift the flour and salt together, add the vegetable shortening and mix well.
  2. Add the water a little at a time until the mixture is compact.
  3. With the help of a rolling pin, roll out the dough on a floured surface.
  4. Line a 22cm diameter fluted round cake tin with the shortcrust pastry.
  5. Beat the eggs in the mixer, add the sugar and beat until you get a light cream.
  6. Add the curds, raisins, nutmeg, salt and lemon juice and mix well.
  7. Pour the mixture over the dough and bake in a preheated medium oven for 30 minutes or until golden brown.

Ingredients:

  • 3 tablespoons of butter
  • 1 cup bacon (chopped)
  • 1 chopped onion
  • Salt and chopped parsley to taste
  • 1 stalk of celery chopped
  • 1/2 cup black raisins (tea)
  • 3 cups cassava flour (tea)
  • 1/2 cup apricot (chopped)
  • 1 cup walnuts (chopped)

Method of preparation:

  1. Heat a pan over medium heat with the butter and fry the bacon until golden brown.
  2. Add the onion, celery and fry for 2 minutes.
  3. Add the raisins, apricots, flour, nuts, salt and green odor and mix.
  4. Transfer to a platter and serve.
