For the home, the device SmartThings station aims to be the “boss” of the smart home. The size of a palm, the device can be connected to the refrigerator, TV, air conditioning and other electronic devices at the same time, and adopts the standard matter (allowing connectivity with other brands).
Through a dedicated Samsung app, the user will be able to control these devices at home, creating routines. With SmartThings Station you will be able to automate functions, where the user activates a button and multiple actions are performed simultaneously. SmartThings Station arrives on the US market from February 2023, available in black or white – there is no information on Brazil. The price has not been disclosed by Samsung.

Samsung introduced the concept of “Space AI”, where a device manages to obtain spatial notions of the house to carry out tasks. In the brand’s example, a robot vacuum cleaner can use several sensors to create digital room maps.

Also, Samsung presented its version of a Generative AI, to allow the user to create new images from simple commands. This is one of the major advancements of AI in 2022, with the emergence of models such as FROM-E 2, Mid-trip and Stable diffusion.
The company hopes that this type of technology will bring more interactivity to users’ daily lives. “We are investing in new forms of intelligence to make AI more personal so that it benefits you while respecting privacy principles,” Seung said.
