Wout Weghorst could support the Red Devils in this window
Forward Wout Weghorst has been offered to Manchester United on loan until the end of the season, according to “Footmercato”. According to information, the Red Devils have the option to buy the center forward for 10 million euros (R$56 million) starting in June.
The player is currently on loan from Burnley to Besiktas, but the spell in Turkey can be brought forward if Manchester United commander Erik ten Hag understands that the athlete’s arrival can be useful within the squad. After the farewell of Cristiano Ronaldo, the squad is missing pieces in the offensive sector.
The English club are monitoring several loan signing possibilities due to financial constraints in this transfer window. However, the Red Devils are having a hard time finding goals, as most options are available for outright sales.
At the World Cup, Weghorst was a bench in the Netherlands but shone in the match against Argentina by scoring two goals and securing an equalizer which took the match to extra time and penalties. At Besiktas, the forward scored nine goals in 18 games, as well as four assists.
