On this rainy Wednesday, Corinthians opened a press training session after almost a year. At CT dr. Joaquim Grava, coach Fernando Lázaro, who will make his professional debut next Sunday, in the first round of the Campeonato Paulista, led the team’s activities after training in the gym, with the absence of Renato Augusto and Yuri Alberto.
The midfielder stayed in the gym for strength training, while the striker, who signed a five-year contract with the club on Tuesday, confined himself to running around on the pitch. He felt discomfort in his ankle and was preserved.
After warming up with the rest of the athletes on the grass, there was separation into small groups, with quick touches of the ball and loss of pressure. Seven grassroots players took part in the activities: goalkeeper Cadu, left winger Gustavo Henrique, right winger Vitinho, winger Cauan, midfielder Adryan and forwards Léo Agostinho and Luan.

After that first moment, the athletes moved to the other field, where they were divided into four groups of seven players each (a goalkeeper and six outfield players). It was not possible to get an idea of a definitive formation, as those considered starters were scattered among the teams.
The players were divided as follows:
Blue: Carlos Miguel, Balbuena, Rafael Ramos, Romero, Maycon, Cantillo + one from the base;
White: Cadu, Fagner, Caetano, Du Queiroz, Júnior Moraes, Adson + one from the base;
Orange: Donelli, Fabio Santos, Bruno Mendez, Roni, Giuliano + one from the base;
Yellow: Cássio, Paulinho, Bidu, Gil, Fausto, Róger Guedes + one from the base.
It was possible to see, in these movements, several defenses of Carlos Miguel; Matheus Bidu’s good presence on the pitch, a great characteristic of him; goal by Fausto with an assist by Paulinho and a beautiful goal by Roni.
However, midfielder Luan could be seen training separately at one point on the pitch. He is not part of the technical commission’s plans for the 2023 season. Last year he was loaned to Santos, but was eventually returned at the end of the loan.
Corinthians’ last training session open to the press took place in February last year, coincidentally when Lázaro was on an interim basis, in the period between Sylvinho’s sacking and Vítor Pereira’s signing. His performance in charge of the club is over 90%, but this will be his first permanent playing job.
Corinthians debuts in Paulistão next Sunday, at 16:00 (Brasilia time), against Red Bull Bragantino, in Bragança Paulista, for the first round. Also this Wednesday afternoon, the cast will carry out the second part of their daily training, which is not open to journalists.
