Velma: the spin-off of Scooby-Doo receives a new trailer; look

The series Velmanew spin-off of Scooby-Doo, won a new trailer for HBO Max this Wednesday (11). Mindy Kaling’s animated comedy for adults introduces us to high school versions of Mystery Inc. detectives.

Velma (Mindy Kaling) is a nerdy loser who thinks she’s better than the popular girls because she uses her brain. But when a body mysteriously ends up in the gym locker, Velma becomes the prime suspect in a murder investigation.

So he teams up with the famous Daphne (Constance Wu), the superficial but charming Fred (Glenn Howerton) and his friend Norville, aka Shaggy (Sam Richardson), to solve this mystery. But since we’re in high school, there’s a lot of interpersonal drama to overcome. Like the fact that Daphne and Velma were apparently friends but are now bitter enemies.

But they also share a moment in the trailer where their hands touch and the background turns pink…so is there an arc from friends to enemies to lovers in their future? Just watch to find out. In this version, the characters swear and do drugs, and the crimes are actual gory murders, not just a costumed old man scaring the people of his estate.
