THE Maple tree has updated its line of devices with ChromeOS, via Chromebox CXI5 and Add-In-One 24: no, that wasn’t a typo, it’s Add-In-One. Both options are focused on productivity, without sacrificing adequate performance for various tasks.

Acer Chromebox CXI5
The new Chromebox CXI5 features 12th generation Intel Core i7 processor as the core performance component. While it’s not the most up-to-date platform right now, it’s still able to offer around 20% more performance than previous generations.
Additionally, the product still features the Intel vPro platform, which adds efficiency to business productivity tasks. There are also extra security components, so that your data is always protected on multiple levels.
Acer highlighted the product’s installation flexibility thanks to its compact construction and VESA mounts that can be placed on standard brackets.
Chromebox CXI5 offers a variety of physical ports, including four USB-A 3.2 Gen2 and two USB-C 4 Gen 3, for transfers up to 40Gbps. There’s also HDMI 2.1 for up to four external displays and 3.5G Gigabit RJ45.

The company will also offer an enterprise version of the Chromebox CXI5, with additional management tools, additional security features and more productivity apps.
The devices will still have 24/7 administrative support and frequent security updates – updates always happen in the background to avoid interruptions in your work.
Acer Add-In-One 24

The Add-In-One 24 is defined by Acer as a CXI5 plugged into the back of a monitor. Therefore, it retains all Chromebox technical specifications and productivity capabilities.
The product display is 24 inches, with Full HD resolution and 115 degree viewing angle. A 5MP camera sits on top for video conferencing, while the inner section houses dual microphones and dual 4W speakers.
This panel also has an anti-reflection coating which makes it possible to use the Add-In-One 24 in bright environments. Touchscreen support is also optionally available.

The back stand allows you to quickly swap out different models of Chromeboxes, so you can make repairs without serious harm to users. Additionally, the monitor can be tilted between -5 and 25 degrees to optimize viewing quality.
Prices and availability
Both products will be available for purchase from Q1 of this year in select countries. The Acer Chromebox CXI5 starts at US$289 (~R$1,473 in direct conversion), while the Add-In-One 24 will start at US$609 (~R$3,104).
