The first trailer of Sergey Minaev’s documentary project “Zero” dedicated to one of the most grandiose decades in the modern history of the country has appeared on the network. The premiere will take place immediately after the protracted holidays – May 12. Like Minaev’s first historical series “The Nineties”, this will be a joint original project of more.tv and Wink. The series will be part of the more originals lineup.
The series will tell about how the inhabitants of the country mastered in the new world. It seemed that everyone could handle everything, and the sweet life would never end. Each episode will show a different slice of the decade. In one series, the authors will follow the rise of Russian cinema, in the other, they will consider the emergence of landmark television projects “Behind the Glass”, “Dom-2” and “Star Factory”. Another significant element of the mass culture of those years is Russian rap, to which a separate chapter will be devoted. And, of course, the authors will talk about the origin of Runet and the cult platform LiveJournal.
The filming was attended by Fyodor Bondarchuk, Timur Bekmambetov, Alena Doletskaya, Konstantin Khabensky, Igor Shulinsky, Evgeny Tsyganov, Sergey Lukyanenko, Alexei Chadov, Arkady Novikov, Svetlana Bondarchuk, Alexander Rappoport, Alexander Anatolyevich, Petr Listerman, Guf, Slim, Ptaha, Artemy Lebedev and other important figures of the decade.
Alena Doletskaya, editor-in-chief of Vogue Russia from 1998 to 2010: “We celebrated, we walked, we washed everything like never before in our lives – that same sparkle, without which it is impossible not to remember the 2000s. Tarantino, Kusturica, Meryl Streep, her daughter, Isabelle Adjani – they all sit at my Vogue dinner. It’s almost unbelievable now. I remember how I kept trying to pinch myself a little and say: “Oh my God, this is really happening to you right now.” .
Fyodor Bondarchuk, director, producer, presenter: “Zero for me is a time of absolute freedom and lawlessness. Lawlessness from freedom and from possibilities. Everything that you thought up can come true and come true. There was a feeling of a general victory for the industry.”
Arkady Novikov, restaurateur: “Then the time was different and Russia was different. For many, Russia was the place to go and see. Some kind of paradise where everything develops. Alaska or the golden Eldorado. Well, there was such a time, and it it was a chic time. Chic “.
