On the MacGyver M6: By the way, how does it end?

After 5 years of good and dedicated service, McGiver, a remake of the 80s cult series with Richard Dean Anderson, leans over to M6 this Saturday night. The 2016 feature film run on CBS by Lucas Tilly was canceled at the end of Season 5, just three weeks before the last episode aired.

Although the last-minute statement did not allow McGiver to get a decent ending for the devoted fans, the writers still managed to convey a satisfying episode that honors the protagonist’s past and hints at his future.

The latest episode, titled “Guinea Pigs,” opens with a classic where Mackie, Riley (Tristin Macy), Desi (Levy Tran) and Bozer (Justin Hires) conduct a secret poker game. When all went according to plan, when Desi managed to put a reasonable tracker on the back of the target, Mackie and Riley suddenly disappear.

24 hours later, Mackie and Riley suddenly reappear and do not remember where they were, what they did or what happened. Matthew (Meredith Eaton) and his colleague Rass (Henry Ian Kuzick) conducted a battery of medical tests on them and found that they had been injected more than 237 times.

There is no doubt: someone used the duo as laboratory rats, and the nanotransmitters that were implanted in their bodies during the previous mission are linked to this disappearance. But who is behind this?

When Matt continues to search for answers, Mackie confines himself to his home with Riley, Boozer, and Des and has to deal with his feelings about the disorder he has suffered. But before leaving the base, he seizes one vial of blood to conduct his own investigation into what happened to him.

Given the unusual color of the blood, Mackie concludes that he and Riley were taking drugs that caused amnesia. He then uses the concept of “state-dependent memory” (which believes that memory recovery is more effective if the recollection occurs when the subject is in the same physiological, affective, or emotional state as during memory). Will resume the events of that night in your own apartment until the details are returned.

After falling asleep on the couch, Max and Riley have the same blink of an eye that takes them to an almond grove in the Lost Hills. From there they manage to track down an abandoned warehouse where they were captured.

Ross, who has been following the affairs of Mack and his team, is disappointed to find that they have not obeyed more orders, but his anger is short-lived as Mack allows them to find Jennifer Poole (Shi ne Nilsson), Orson’s right-hand man. Markato (Tom Novick), who they suspect is behind the nanoscience.

Ross then asks the young woman questions about Marcotto’s plan, while Riley gives the money to the hard drive of his two hacker friends. They discover a video showing Mackie and Riley under the control of the minds of nanotransmitters who are forced to fight against each other defenselessly.

The group then discovers that Marcato originally developed nanotransformers to combat depression, but soon discovered that they had some interesting side effects, to put it mildly. He plans to disperse the nanoparticles into the air, using fireworks at a military event in Washington that will be attended by many families.

The team also finds that Marcato’s experiments were funded by the U.S. government. So Mackie and his team travel to Washington and compete in time to reach the fireworks before they set off.

As a tech genius, of course, Macgyver can not just turn them off. It will manipulate their contents to create a super-rocket that can safely disperse nanobots into the ozone layer.

Once the population survives, all that remains for the agency is to release Mac and Riley from the nanotransformers, in collaboration with Marcato. To do this, Rass will place both in hyperbaric chambers to increase the absorption of oxygen into their bloodstream, allowing the robots to be killed.

If Riley is rescued too easily, Mackie, in turn, will almost die, the pressure on the box causing him to have seizures and cardiac arrest. Fortunately, he survived and also managed to escape from the nanotransmitters.

He finally makes the decision to leave the Phoenix Foundation because he can not ignore the recent actions of the US government. When he tells the rest of the team about his decision, Boozer, Desi and Riley decide to go with him.

It was then that Matt told them that they had severed all ties with the government and that the fund would now be funded only by Russia. So they all decide to stay on new adventures together.
