Jared Leto to star in Tron 3

Information about the long-awaited triquel of the science fiction film “Tron” began to appear in many foreign media. The working title of the new tape is “Tron: Ares”. The main role in the film will be played by the popular musician and actor, ageless Jared Leto. Disney is currently in talks to direct Joachim Renning, who worked on Maleficent and Pirates of the Caribbean.

The screenplay was written by Jesse Wigutow. The new Tron will be a sequel to the original 1982 film starring Jeff Bridges. The sequel to the tape, called “Tron: Legacy”, was released on the big screens more than 10 years ago. In it, Bridges returned to his role, and the main roles were played by Garrett Hedlund and Olivia Wilde. In the triquel, the focus will shift to the hero Jared Leto.

Plot details and a release date for the new film have yet to be revealed. It is also unknown who will work on the soundtrack of the picture. The music for the previous part was written by the legendary duo Daft Punk, who announced their retirement from the stage in 2021.

Rumors that Jared Leto would join the fantasy franchise began back in 2017. Then the actor was announced as the main star of the third film, as well as the producer. Initially, the director of the tape was supposed to be Garth Davis, but he soon abandoned the project. Justin Springer, Jeffrey Silver and Emma Ludbrook will produce.
