The first frames of the multi-part dramatic biopic “Ranevskaya” from director Dmitry Petrun appeared on the network (“Resurrection”, “Torgsin”), and also became known the date of the premiere of the long-awaited picture. The main characters in the series were Marietta Tsigal-Polishchuk, Konstantin Lavronenko, Alexander Domogarov, Polina Kutepova, Irina Grineva and Semyon Strugachev.
Theater and film actress, laureate of state awards, People’s Artist of the USSR, favorite of the public, author of well-known aphorisms – Faina Ranevskaya – was remembered by more than one generation of viewers for her brightest roles in the films “Foundling”, “Wedding”, “Dream” and “Cinderella” , different images in the theater and an incredible sense of humor and self-irony.
But what was Ranevskaya outside the spotlight, and what path did she have to go through? The new show will tell about this, which will cover different periods of the life of the cult Soviet actress – from youth in Taganrog and dreams of a stage to all-Union glory and loneliness in adulthood.
The premiere of the series “Ranevskaya” will take place exclusively in the KION online cinema on February 8.
