Roll the dice and step forward, D&D-heads: a new cinematic campaign is about to unfold Dungeons and Dragons: Honor Thieves, and as the trailer above suggests, it looks like it’s going to be a lot of fun. The new trailer continues that vibe, promising a creature-filled action comedy straight out of an RPG, with a befitting cast and visual flair to boot. Remember, if the idea of a D&D movie makes you want to spit the hell out of everyone involved, this is coming from writer-directors Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley, aka the duo behind it. game night, so there’s some serious pedigree here. Check out the fun new trailer.
Sounds like a psychic scream, right? (In the right direction.) honor among thieves brings together a fun cast of gamers, with Chris Pine playing Edgin the Bard, Michelle Rodriguez kicking ass as Holga the Barbarian, and other contestants including Regé-Jean Page, Justice Smith (revealed here to have a British accent , for some reason), Sophia Lillis and Hugh Actual Grant, the latter seemingly continuing his career while having as much fun in front of the camera as possible. Good for him! And the trailer itself offers some intrigue (our heroes were accidentally complicit in delivering a seriously creepy MacGuffin to the wrong person, and now they have to fix it), more Owlbear action, stone dragons, spells galore, and a trip to the, uh, orifice . Who goes first?
Fingers crossed this manages to bring sorcery to the movie screen, after all the D&D homages by Strange things Yup Before in recent years, it seems like a good time to bring out the real deal. Who has the d20? Dungeons and Dragons: Honor Thieves hits UK cinemas from 31st March.
