Lusa and Tricolor face off this Thursday, at 21:30, for Paulistão
After facing Red Bull Bragantino and winning 3-0, the Portuguese will have another duel against a team that disputes the first division of Brazil. This Thursday (26), Lusa will visit the St. Paul, in Morumbi, in a match valid for the fourth round of the Paulistão. Thomazella, main goalkeeper and one of the main names of the team, designed the duel against the Tricolore.
– We know the quality of the San Paolo team and the difficulties we will have to face in this away duel. Paulistão doesn’t have an easy match and if we want to win anything, we have to try and score in these games. We respect the San Paolo team a lot, but we go into the game looking for victory to add points to the standings,” he said.
After a difficult start in the paulista league, Portuguesa managed to rehabilitate and add 4 points in the tournament. Thomazella commented on the start of the competition and stated that Lusa has positive expectations.
– The Campeonato Paulista is one of the most played tournaments in Brazil. Great teams, skilled players. This brings great difficulties in games. We faced three strong opponents who are in the main divisions of Brazilian football and we knew it would be difficult games. We’re playing good matches and our expectation is to keep scoring and looking for our goals – he concluded -.
Portuguesa is currently in 4th place in group D of the state, with 4 points in three games played.
