‘Transformers: Rise of the Beasts’ premieres trailer for the return of Optimus Prime

‘Transformers: Rise of the Beasts‘ has revealed its first trailer and has brought back Optimus Prime, whom we haven’t seen since 2017.

As Paramount announced earlier this year, ‘Transformers: The Rise of the Beasts’ will be the first installment of a new trilogypresumably prequels to the movies Michael Bay. A new 3D animated film is also expected in 2024 and an animated series that will premiere on Nickelodeon.

The ‘Transformers’ saga is based on Hasbro toys and Takara Tomy productions. The storyline of this franchise is based on two alien robotic factions, the Autobots and the Decepticons, originating from the planet Cybertron. These robots camouflage themselves on Earth thanks to their ability to transform into vehicles or animals animatronics.

The person in charge of directing this new installment, which will serve as a restart of the saga after the departure of Michael Bay from the franchise and some critics such as those of Stephen King, will be Steven Caple Jr.. (‘Creed II’), with a script by Joby Harold, Matt Holloway, Art Marcum, Darnell Metayer, Ken Nolan, and Josh Peters.

The new film by Optimus Prime and company will be released in cinemas throughout Spain on June 9, 2023. That is, this summer we will have a new portion of Transformer.

‘Transformers: Rise of the Beasts’, Synopsis

According to the official synopsis, “‘Transformers: Rise of the Beasts’ will take audiences on a ’90s adventure and introduce the Maximals, Predacons and Terrorcons to the existing battle on Earth between Autobots and Decepticons“.

The film will be set in the New York of the year 1994 with the intention of telling how Optimus Prime, who has been present in the previous films of the saga (except the spin-off ‘Bumblebee’), became the leader that fans have known on the big screen.

The main villain will be Scourge, a machine with big paws who steals the symbols of his victims and fuses them into his own body as trophies of his victories.

Peter Cullen will return as Optimus Prime, and will headline a cast of big-name voices for the film, including michelle yeoh (Maximal Airazor), Peter Dinklage from ‘Game of Thrones’ (Scourge), pete davidson (Mirage) and Ron Perlmannwhich will be Optimus Primal, the leader of the Maximals. John DiMaggiothe voice of Bender in ‘Futurama’, will be Stratosphere, while the singer and actress MJ Rodriguez it will be Nightbird.

As for flesh and blood characters, Anthony Ramos (‘In a neighborhood of New York’) and Luna Lauren Velez (‘Dexter’) will be the protagonists.

The trailer starts off on a high note showing Optimus Primal vs. Optimus Prime, the leaders of the Maximals and the Autobots face to face, allying themselves in the face of what seems to be a much greater threat that will affect the past, present and future. Optimus Primal, in the form of robotic giant gorillais undoubtedly the most attractive of the new additions, but we wonder what the character of Anthony Ramos fits into all this and how epic it seems to be a pitched battle with dozens and dozens of robots all fighting at the same time.
