Jenna Ortega pays tribute to Lisa Loring (the original Wednesday) after her death

Jenna Ortega has paid tribute to the actress who gave life to Wednesday Addams for the first time.

Lisa Loringwho played the character in the sitcom ‘The Addams Family’, He recently passed away at the age of 64.

Jenna has shared a series of photos of the child actress in her instagram storieswriting: “Absolutely devastated. Thanks for everything.”

Lisa was part of the series between 1964 and 1966, beginning to be part of the cast with only 5 years.

His daughter, Vanessa Foumberg, confirmed the sad news stating that the actress had passed away on January 28 due to a stroke caused by hypertension.

“He left in peace with his two daughters holding hands,“I told The Hollywood Reporter.

Laurie Jacobson, a close friend of Lisa’s, also shared the news and honored her at a publication of their social networks.

“It is with a heavy heart that I announce the death of our friend, Lisa Loring,” wrote. “He has been on life support for 3 days. Yesterday his family made the difficult decision to cease the process and he passed away tonight.“

“He will always be a part of pop culture and our hearts just like Wednesday Addams.”

Ortega, who has given life to ‘Wednesday’ in the popular Netflix series, recently revealed that he had made reference to the original actress in one of the most famous scenes of her series. The actress was inspired by her to shoot the viral dance scene of the season.

“I knew there were things I wanted to do. I did a tribute to Lisa Loring, the first Wednesday Addams,” he explained. “I repeated a bit of a dance that she does. Of course, they cut right the moment I did it, but it’s there! I know it is.”
