Marvel: Is Dr. Strange 2 a sequel to No Way Home?

Find out what Dr. Strange’s hints are in the multiplayer Madness, Spider-Man: No Way Home, Marvel’s previous movie for immersion.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is coming out in theaters on Wednesday! This new piece from Marvel Studios is highly anticipated as the multiverse has become a playground for studio creatives who use it to offer alternative versions of famous characters or to bring Marvel series characters into the movie world.

Doctor Strange 2 is no exception to the rule and also offers attention to another feature of Marvel that has a huge impact on the multiplayer: Spider-Man: No Way Home, which came out late last year and which was a huge success.

In the new adventure of the mystic master, young America Chavez (Xochitl Gomez) has the ability to easily visit different worlds. Hunting for his power, he comes to ask Dr. Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) who he thinks will protect him and help him master the power.

America, Wong and Stephen are ready to fight

Asked by Chavez if he has already met the multi-world, Stephen Strange answers in the affirmative, citing his unhappy adventure with Spider-Man during the No Way Home events. This is the only reference in the movie to the magic gates that open to other worlds above New York a few weeks or months in advance (exact dates are deliberately unknown).

Thus, Strange 2 is technically a film located after No Way Home, but we have to admit that viewers were right to expect more of a bridge between the feature films of John Watts and Sam Rhyme. Indeed, No Way Home was mainly about the multi-world and the harmful effects that can be played without mastering all aspects.

These events still brought to Earth two humans spiders and many superheroes from other worlds so as not to influence Dr. Strange’s dialogues from the multiplicity of madness.

Spider-Man: No Way Home

This is probably due to a factor that is not related to the film itself. Indeed, Strange 2 was originally supposed to be on the Marvel Cinematic Universe schedule before it made its way home. The current string was filmed in the film to include a reference to the events of No Way Home in the feature film.

With caution or not, Dr. Strange is generous in many other worlds of madness to discover right now in your cinemas!
