The co-director of The Flight AttendantNatalie Chaidez, has been honest about a sexual scene of Cassie Bowden, the character played by Kaley Cuocoin the last episode of the series.
With the second season underway, in episode 4, called “Blue Sincerely Reunion”, we have been able to see Cassie make a big decision by cheating on her boyfriend.
Chaidez – who co-wrote the episode – has opened up about this explicit scene when speaking with DigitalSpy and other media, confirming that it was devised with an intimacy coordinator.
“Yes, we have an intimacy coordinator on the set who talks to the two actors before the shoot, and who is in charge of establishing their limits. They talk about the process,” he explained.
“That person was on set with Mo McRae and Kaley, who, I must say, had tremendous chemistry. It was also shot on a closed set. We were respectful,” added Chaidez.
“There was some partial nudity and other stuff, so it was very contained as to who was there. It was very steamy. And when we saw it, the other producer and I were like, ‘Ugh! OK.’ But it was all done with very carefully, and with all the respect we can give to the interpreters”.
This all comes after Cuoco recently defended Cassie’s questionable decisions in season two, highlighting her character’s ability to rally audiences behind her.
“Just like in the first season, she made horrible decisions, but you get convinced that she wants to do the right thing. You don’t hate her for it. She’s a lovable character. She has a big heart. She’s had a lot of trauma in her life. And she’s trying turn the page. And I think his friends and his family believe it, or most of them, “said the actress also known for her time in The Big Bang Theory.
