‘Heartstopper’: How will asexuality be treated in season 2?

“Asexuality will be represented on television in a complete way.”

    The creator of ‘Heartstopper’, Alice Oseman, has revealed an important plot that will be explored in the second season of the Netflix series – Isaac’s asexuality.

    Tobie Donovan, the actor who plays Isaac on the hit series, and Oseman commented, in an interview with attitudewhich would explore asexuality in connection with his character during the second batch of chapters.

    I hope that, when seen in ‘Heartstopper’, It doesn’t seem like a lesson. People already know Isaac, they already care about him, now they are going to learn something new from him..”

    Then they continued: “The ‘A’ stands for asexuality or the aromantic. That indicates little (or almost no) sexual attraction and little (or almost no) romantic attraction. This confuses a lot of people because, for many, they are the same. However, those who feel it know the difference.”

    Oseman also commented that, despite being aromantic, she enjoys writing this genre.

    It’s complicated, we don’t all feel the same things. I’ve always appreciated romantic stories and it’s fun to write one,” he stated.

    The second season of ‘Heartstopper’ finished filming recently and Netflix shared a photo of Oseman with the stars of the series, Kit Connor and Joe Locke.
