Latin Grammy changes location and will be held in Spain

After editions held in the United States, the next Latin Grammy ceremony will gain a new location

O Latin Grammy 2023 should take place in Spain, marking the ceremony’s first time in the country. In 2022, as in previous years, the event was held in Las Vegas, in the United States.

The city of Seville could be the new home of Grammyas revealed by Manuel AbudCEO of Latin Recording Academyin a note to Rolling Stone USA: “We are considering Seville to celebrate the 24th edition of the Latin Grammy this year. But we are still working on the logistics with our partners at TelevisaUnivision. We will give more details about the date and location of the next Grammy shortly.”

A Latin Academy was created in 1977, and the first ceremony took place in 2000. According to a note on the organization’s website, “the purpose of Latin Grammy is to recognize excellence and bring awareness to the public about the cultural diversity of artists, national and international.”

Among the most awarded women in the Grammy are the mexican singer Natalia Lafourcadewith 14 wins, followed by the Colombian Shakirawith 12, and by RosalĂ­aa Spaniard who has won 11 titles in her meteoric career.

The men with the most awards are the Dominican Luis Guerra and the Puerto Rican rapper Resident. The two are tied at 28 wins.
